Taylor Elise Colimore is a multimedia artist and performer from Baltimore, Maryland and is currently living and working in Richmond, Virginia. In 2022, she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Kinetic Imaging, a program with emphasis areas in animation, sound, video, and performance art.
Taylor greatly values experimentation and play in her creative practices often creating projects with craft and fiber materials and then further manipulating and enhancing the works digitally.
As a performance artist, she primarily writes music with live code. Through the coding language, Ruby, she crafts realtime musical loops in the Live-Coding environment, Sonic Pi. No two performances are ever alike because of the experimental and playful nature that live-coding encourages. With multiple years of coding experience, Taylor has familiarized herself with the coding language and frequently enjoys tuning into her headphones and getting immersed in the code for hours at a time.
Taylor has exhibited locally in Richmond, VA at the Seipel Gallery and The Anderson at VCU School of the Arts. She has also has performed at the International Conference on Live Coding, the Seipel Gallery, Shockoe Sessions Live!, and 1708 Gallery’s Annual InLight Exhibition as a member of LiveCodeRVA.
