dressed in pink, she finds herself in the middle of a marathon is a surreal journey demonstrating my arrival in Richmond and the development of my identity and self-expression. The video features me in a pink dress standing among the dull and desaturated city landscape to represent my feelings of isolation until finally finding a sense of belonging in the final shot. The soundtrack for this video was inspired by the coincidence that I chose to shoot in the city on the day of the Richmond Marathon. The soundscape that day was filled with positive affirmations from supporters and encouraging cowbell ringing.
